Born in Murcia, in 1979, she holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Murcia. After four years of research in Molecular Genetics at the University of Murcia, also at the Biochemistry Institute of Leipzig (Germany), she obtained the Bachelor's degree in Research with the Bachelor's thesis, several publications and the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Molecular Genetics of Fungi.
In the political sphere, she was a national deputy for the Region of Murcia between 2011 and 2019, and spokesperson for the Socialist Group in key areas such as technology, science and innovation.
Between 2008 and 2016, she held various responsibilities within the PSOE, standing out as secretary of Science, Participation and Networks. In addition, she was a counselor at the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) and worked as a professor of Physics and Chemistry in the Region of Murcia.
Since October 2022, he served as Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure for two years.
In September 2024, she was appointed Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence, where she currently contributes to the advancement of technology and digital humanist and fair transformation in Spain from the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Public Service.
